Today was a fun day. I ate breakfast at the hotel at nine o'clock. I had cereal, toast, and oranges. And milk. I love milk. :)
In the afternoon we visited my sister's friend, Faye Mullen (www.fayemullen.com) who is a very cool artist. We chatted for a while and Faye showed us around her studio. Then we drove to town to the pot office, And picked out some postcards. We sent two, but a few are still waiting to be sent!
After that we stopped. At an ice cream shop before heading back. We chatted some more and drove back to our hotel.
On our way back we stopped at Tim Hortons for dinner. Cauliflower soup from Tim Horton's is so delicious!
That concludes our kinda short but fun day. No pictures because there wasn't anything to take pictures of, and besides, I can't use the computer anyway.
Thanks for reading!

Day 7 - Quebec
Today we woke up late and drove to Old Quebec City. We found a place to eat lunch (we skipped breakfast because it was already 1:00). I had a lasagna that was really good.
After lunch we walked around, and I bought a lollipop :). Then we went on a horse drawn carraige. That was very fun. We sat for 45 minutes on the bumpy ride listening to the "driver" give us a tour of Old Quebec City that included it's interesting history.
After the carraige ride we bought ice cream and walked around. We stopped at one shop. It was a cool shop that sold things like door hinges, mail boxes, doorknobs, etc.
Then we bought sandwiches at a store to take back to our hotel and eat. They were very tasty and included pickles!
When we got back to the hotel we swam at the small and shallow hotel swimming pool for half an hour.
That pretty much concludes day 7. No pictures because I don't get to use the computer.

Day 6 - Montreal - Quebec
Au revior, Montreal! Bonjour, Quebec!
Yes, I am now in Quebec! The difference in language between Montreal and Quebec is not big, they both speak French. But Montreal speaks more English than Quebec does.
This morning we ate brunch at a cafe. I had a chocolate croissont and two ham, cheese, lettuce, and apple sandwiches. It was very tasty.
Then we drove to Quebec. We had to take a ferry ride on our car, but I was too distracted reading to notice. -_-" We were behind two horses, so we got to see a white and a caramel brown horse rear end the entire time. :)
Then we arrived at our hotel. Two queen sized beds, free, wi fi, air conditioning - it's a good hotel. Rank #25 out of 92! ^^
We walked to a nice kind of expensive resturant for dinner, and got really full. I had this toasted bread with bacon and something else, covered with cheese, and a pickle in top. :D and of course shoestring fries and homemade mayonaise. It was good.
Now I'm very full. Seems like transition days all we dis eat, drive and eat.
No pictures today because I'm being lazy again. Sorry. Maybe one day I'll come back and show you the horses' rear ends. :)
Au revior for now!

Day 5 - Montreal
Today was really awesome, mostly.
We woke up very late and had breakfast for lunch at a really good restaurant... But I forgot the name.
Then we walked to Old Port, stopping at one shop and taking plenty of pictures. At Old Port there was a circus, but we didn't go see it. Instead, we met up with my sister's friend and chatted while we cooled are feet in the water. Then we got on a boat for half an hour. It was a boat where you have to paddle to move. That was pretty fun.
After that we walked around Old Port and saw these flying trapeze acrobats. They were very good. It was my favorite part of today, I think.
After the acrobats' performance, we left for dinner, walking on the Artist's Road. We ate dinner at a restaurant called Pizzadelic. It was good, but expensive.
Then we walked back to where we are staying, and saw fireworks and ten o'clock. They ere really pretty, but we didn't get to see a lot because of the window angle.
That's basicly how our day went. Also, there are no pictus because I'm being lazy.
Cheerio!

Day 4 - Montreal
So...
This blog post won't have any pictures because...
Today, we moved from the "hotel" to my sister's friend's house, and she doesn't have Internet. So I am at a restaurant (Mezcla) which has free wi fi. I'm here to blog and to eat dinner.
So today we ate brunch at a really nice cafe, but I unfortunately forgot the name. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and fruit, which was one of the best. Brunches. EVER.
Then we walked to see a marché, French for market. On the way we stopped at two shops.
The first shop had really cool and unique glasses. They were really funky with different frames, patterns, and things. They made people look like crazy librarians, movie star teachers, skiers, etc. It was really cool.
Then we stopped at another shop. There were handmade necklaces, flower pins, purses, things like that. The necklaces were one of a kind because the back had a soft fabric band instead of string and beads, so it was more comfy. The flowers could be pinned on your hair, bag, clothes, anywhere! It was pretty awesome.
When we finally got to the market, we ditched it for a park. Get this: there was internet at the park. Crazy, right?
Then we walked back and moved. There were really cool trinkets in the new place, such as an old record player that could play in two different speeds! We listened to music for a while, then we headed down to Mezcla for dinner, and here we are!
Toodles!

Day 3 - Ottawa - Montreal
Bonjour! Comment ca va?
That's Hello! How are you? in French (francais) and why would I write that? I'm in Montreal, a French speaking place!

In the morning I had this cake thing that was bought from a convenience store in Ottawa. It was really good, a sweet, covered with coconut.
Then we drove all the way to Montreal. We're not staying at a hotel this time, so it's different. The hotel back in Ottawa was better. :/

We ate delicious lunch/dinner. I had salmon penne at first but then traded for a linguini... For desert I got frozen banana covered in chocolate sauce and nuts.
After lunch/dinner, we got on a bus to the Jazz Festival. It was pretty cool. First, we went to see what was left of the acrobatics. Then we got to see what was supposed to be hip hop, but looked like more acrobatics to me.
Then we saw this random band. I though that part was kind of boring. It was also the part where I realized that I was probably breathing more smoke from other people's cigarette's just at the festival than I do on a regular week.
After that we saw four guys peform cool tricks (juggling bowling pins, spin balls, etc.) and perform acrobatics, which was my favourite part of the Jazz Festival, of what I saw of it anyways. Then we bought a cool mango flower (which was a tasty as it was pretty) and went to see actual jazz.
The actual jazz was pretty good too. A lady sang while around seven people played wind instrements, one on the double bass, one on the piano, and one with the drums. In one song they sang accapella, which was really fun to listen to.
So that concludes Day 3 of my road trip! I'll blog tomorrow, hopefully. Cheerio!

Day 2 - Ottawa
This is the second day of my road trip! It's pretty awesome so far, except... It's so HOT!

In the morning we ate delicious scones from The Sconewitch. I cut mine into 3 layers, and filled each layer with cream, strawberry jam, and raspberry jam. It was dee-licious. Apparently though, my sister makes better scones. Interesting.I need to try those sometime.
After brunch, we walked towards the parliament buildings, and stopped by at St. Andrew's Church.
We got to the parliament buildings, which were like big, gigantic castles. It was pretty cool to look at, but the history wasn't too interesting to me. There was a big group of people in front of the parliament buildings doing yoga. Pretty funny and pretty cool.
We checked out the canal and the locks, which were pretty cool.

Then we took two tours in a row. On the tour of the East block, we got to see some fancy offices. The rank of the person in the office depended on the details and colours of the decorations in between the wall and the ceiling, and the detail and design of the fireplace. Yup.

Then, there were members of some sort of... goverment whatever.... thing...? And they hang their coats up on these coat hangers, and it was pretty cool, because each hook was assigned to the person with a certain job. And the Prime Minister (I think) would switch around coats, and if your coat was on a different hook, then now you have the job of the person who used to hang their coat on that hook.If your coat was on the ground, you were fired.
Then we took a tour of the Center block, which wasn't as interesting.
We went to the Planet Coffee cafe next, and just sat there for about an hour. We ate Planet Coffee cake and chocolate cake, both were very good. I visited the French bookstore next door, the Librairie du Soleil, where I pretty much failed at reading French. It was fun though.
Then my sister's friend Kaity came. We went for dinner Moji. I had Penne Pesto, which was really awesome and tasty. We stayed there for a long time, mostly because we were talking more than we were eating.
After that, on the way back to out hotel, we bought two Beaver tail classics. They were SO GOOD. They were warm and delicious, and it was hard to resist them - even though we were very full.
So, Day 2 was interesting, hot, sometimes boring, sometimes fun. And all the food was VERY TASTY. Mouth watering. So far, the best thing about Ottawa would probably be the food. :) Cheers!

Day 1 - Ottawa
Hey guys!
So, this is the first blog post of Ready, Set, Blog! I am on a road trip right now, and am currently in Ottawa. We left a little late, around 12:00, and got here... I have no idea when actually.
We went for dinner at a resturant in Ottawa's Chinatown.
I had wonton with rice noodles. It was good... Except for the annoying teensy pieces of parsley! In case you don't know, I personally hate parsley. I don't know about you, but I can't stand it. Just... Euch!

Anyways, we got back to our hotel... Did I mention we're living in a suite for the next two days? It's pretty cool, we've got a mini kitchen, a living room, and washroom, and a bedroom.
I'll blog again tomorrow (hopefully) so bye for now!
